Is there any more information on Asa Packer's "vision" for the campus? I think that idea of an elite campus is really fascinating.

That IS a really interesting point, and it's sort of one of the themes I'm trying to address (the elite campus thing). We should have words about this.

I agree with David, I see a lot of commonalities here between yours and his chapter. I wonder if Asa Packer tried to create a "city on a hill" such as the one that exists today. Your writing style seems to also be very consistent with the other posts I have read so far.
